Hey,
I've joined here because I have a colonoscopy next friday due to stomach pain, blood in stool and daily diarrhea for around 6 months. Very strong history of colon cancer in my family (5 members both male and female youngest diagnosis 34, oldest 66) I'm 35, female. Blood tests have been mostly normal, mildly elevated hemoglobin, hemocrit, platelets and ferritin but combined with my physical symptoms the doctor is quite concerned about cancer.
Just wanted to join to be around others who understand the worry xx
Hi littlemunchkin and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and although I didn't have the same investigations that you're having I know how scared you're probably feeling right now.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the bowel cancer group as you'll then connect directly with people who have the had the same symptoms and tests as you.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
Wishing you all the best
