Hi
My partner has stage 4 lung cancer. He is receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy and is feeling OK at the moment. I think he is coping very well and is doing well. We plan to go abroad in July with family. Can anyone advise / share their experience of getting travel insurance? Do we go to a specialist company or ask our current insurance company for a quote? Any advice would be appreciated.

I found I got a better price by telephone for a quote and going through my diagnosis as I then knew I had answered all the questions. I do hope you sort something out and enjoy a holiday. .
I don't know if you are aware but we also have a dedicated Lung Cancer group where you can "meet" others on the same or similar journey to your partner and a link to this is here:
If I can do anything else for you please do get back to me.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi, I'm new to the community forum, my name's Al & I have stage 4 bowel cancer. This started with a tumour and I had surgery to remove which was successful but sadly the cancer returned as chemo did not work for me. I am currently undergoing immunotherapy and my chemo specialist has said that after 3 cycles (many more to come), the cancer has reduced a little bit. After 12 months of stress inside and out, the specialist has said I could travel, mainly a short haul destination abroad . Can anyone help with recommending any insurance companies to try please?
Good Morning Al (Al WHU)
