Hi All
New member looking for hope, as we all are! I have intraductal prostate cancer which was said to me to be a rare form of prostate cancer with a high risk of recurrence. My Gleason was 8 and it was described as agressive and likely to spread. I had 9 chemos and 39 cycles of radiation and finished that a year and a half ago. My PSA went to 0.03 within 6 months of finishing treatment and is still the same. Dr Google seems to think this is really positive. Anyone else in a similar situation?
Thanks
Brendan
Good Morning Brendan (Brennie)
A warm welcome to the Macmillan Online community, although I am so sorry to find you joining us! I am Brian one of the Community Champions here on the Community and am in the fourth year of my personal Prostate Cancer journey.
The Community is divided up into cancer specific groups and I would advise you to join us on the Prostate Cancer group - here's the link you need:
When you click on the link and the page opens up, just click on "join" on the black banner at the bottom of the page. once you have joined the Prostate Group you can then either copy and paste or repost your original post in the "New Here - Say Hello" section. I can assure you of plenty of welcomes and advice.
I look forward to "meeting" you again in "our" part of the Community.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi Brendan, and a warm welcome from me, I too was diagnosed with intraductal prostate cancer, almost 3 years ago, and your correct there aren't many of us around, but it looks like your team are well on top of things as your PSA results show, great news my friend, being intraductal does indicate a more aggressive variant and likelihood of spreading, but by no means is it a certainty. I see you've joined the prostate forum but not posted, as Brian has suggested it really is a wonderful group to join, with many wonderful guys and girls happy to support you anyway they can, whether that is advice, emotional support or just a chat they will have a warm welcome for you.
