Hi, 3 weeks ago had a normal life, 2 weeks ago had a soft tissue sarcoma diagnosis I have so much support and I feel so grateful for that yet I can’t help feeling so alone. Had a lung ct a couple of days ago so waiting to hear if it is also in my lungs, dreading that phone call.

Wanted to join this group as it really helps me to know I’m not alone in this journey, have been told I will be needing 25 sessions of radiotherapy on my arm but just wondered if anyone knows if this tends to be arranged at the same time everyday. Like many of us who have to work too just wondered, as even though health comes first, work is also a factor in all this.

Wish everyone all the very very best in their journeys too x

  • Hi  now that you have a clear diagnosis you may now want to join and post in our dedicated….

             Soft tissue sarcomas

……. support group. This group is a safe place to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.

The Macmillan Support Line is open between 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00…… this service provides cancer information, practical information, emotional support, benefits/financial/work guidance or just a listening ear.

Talking to people ‘face to face’ can be very helpful so do check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area, do also check for a local Maggie's Centre as these folks are amazing.

Do get back to me if you need further help navigating the community.
