Hi Lisa72 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I didn't have the same cancer diagnosis as your mam, I know how a cancer diagnosis affects the whole family.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the lung cancer group, which is a great place to ask questions and share experiences about your mam's diagnosis, and also either the carers only group, if you are your mam's carer, of the family and friends group, if you're not her carer. Both of these last two groups are supportive places to discuss your worries and emotions.
To join, just click on the links I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could put something about your mam's diagnosis and proposed treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Hi ravens and a warm welcome to you too.
Thanks very much for taking the time to reply to Lisa72.
What brings you here, and can I help you find the right group to join for support?
Anne
My mum passed away February last year finding it very hard
Hi ravens
I'm so sorry to read that your mum has passed away and I'd like to offer my condolences.
As you'll have seen in my previous message, the community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to suggest that you join the bereaved family and friends group which is for anyone who's lost a family member or friend to cancer to share your feelings and give and receive support.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
If you need any further help navigating the community I'll be pleased to help.
((hugs))
