I’ve been in pain since July ,for the first 3 months my GP said it was acid reflux , then said I had colon cancer ? Turns out didn’t , then fevered to a Gynoclogist??? Male 67, this was changed to gastrology  appointment ,then gastroscopy showed I have 30mm problem , was told last month I was not suitable for an op and would need chemo ,,but the chemo doc was on his2 weeks leave and would need to wait 3 weeks to start chemo as he only works on Mondays

anyway 6 days ago my pain went away and has not yet come back ,unsure what to think with the pain going away ,as might start chemo tomorrow

is the new lack of pain a worry?

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community. I don't know if the fact that your pain has gone away is significant or not as the two types of cancer I've had don't generate pain.

The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the stomach cancer group, which is a great place to ask your question, share experiences and get support.

To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and proposed treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
