Hello!
I’m new to the group and in full honestly, panicking. 3-4 weeks ago I noticed by right boob would be sore when I woke up. It’s always been the bigger boob but it feel fuller this past month. No other symptoms besides I felt a small hard lump in the bigger breast that’s been sore and fuller feeling and sometimes an internal burning but no rash puckering orange peel . I panicked and seen my Ob the next day. They ruled IBC out ( I panic googled and convinced myself I have it) and felt like my breast is just fibrous ( which I’ve known) he did order me a mamo and ultrasound for peace of mind. I’m 37 with no family history.
I’m also wondering if it’s hormonal. I had a hysterectomy in sept but kept my ovaries but the boob feels like it would before ovulation and my period.. but it’s been all the time for the last month.
Any input, prayers or setting me straight would be appreciated.
thank you
Hi Anicola3 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
It's natural to be scared when you feel that something isn't right but it's good that your GP is on the case and has arranged for you to go and have a mammogram and ultrasound. Hopefully that will back up his previous findings.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the breast cancer group, which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could put something about your symptoms and tests to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
