Hi, I was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer and follicular thyroid cancer in November last year. I’ve had 3 surgeries so far.
I’m starting radiotherapy for the breast then I have more surgery to get the full thyroid out and possibly radioactive iodine treatment.
Im feeling overwhelmed and scared, about managing things from early menopause and lI feeling thyroid medication after.
Also that I was ‘just unlucky’ to get 2 separate primary cancers at once…I’m anxious about the future.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2022 having previously been diagnosed with melanoma in November 2016. Although I'd finished treatment for the melanoma before the breast cancer was found, I do understand how daunting having two cancers at the same time must be.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the breast cancer and thyroid cancer groups. Both are great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.
To join, just click on the links I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnoses and proposed treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. I'm sorry to read that like Mags_bbgs, you have also been diagnosed with both breast and thyroid cancer.
So that you can connect with others for support with those cancers, can I recommend that you join the same groups that I've signposted Mags_bbgs to.
