Hi everyone. I’m new to this group.
the week before Christmas I was diagnosed with invasive melanoma. My boyfriend of 4.5 years & I was having problems & he had moved by to his house. Upon my diagnosis moved back into my house & he has been by my side throughout.
in January I had a WLE on my face & lymph node tests. Last Thursday I received the results from the lymph nodes. The cancer had not spread.
on Friday we were out celebrating. All drunk.
He went to bed & I was looking at his phone for something different & discovered he was on fab swingers website messaging numerous women practically begging them to meet up. It all got very out of hand. My kids are in their 20s & threw him out my house. I was & am distraught over it. I very very stupidly wrote it all over his facebook page the next day & humiliated him.
He then told me he has never met any of these women & was looking for attention & to feel wanted. We both struggled to deal with the diagnosis.
I would some advice. Has anyone else been through this? Thank you for reading
Hi Winelady and a very warm welcome to the Macmillan Community but sorry to hear about your treatment journey and the challenges you have been facing
This is not something that I have experienced but let's see if any community member has first hand experience that can help you out.
This New to Community area is like our reception desk where we look to try and direct you to the best part of the Community for you to get support.
The Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) so can I recommend that you look to join and put up your own post in our dedicated Melanoma Support Group and our Emotional Issues Group.
These groups are safe places to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment and life experience, to ask questions and get support. To connect in with the group please click on the links below…….
……. and once the group page opens you will see a [Black - Click to Join - Banner] at the bottom of the page, click in this box and this will then confirm that you have joined the group.
You can then introduce yourself to the group by putting up your very own post by clicking [+ Create new post] or [+] in the top right of the group page.
You can copy and paste the text from this post into your new post.
The Macmillan Support Line is open between 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00…… this service provides cancer information, practical information, emotional support or just a listening ear. Talking to people ‘face to face’ can be very helpful so do check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area, do also check for a local Maggie's Centre as these folks are amazing.
Do get back to me if you need further help navigating the community ((hugs))
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
