Hi all I've been diagnosed with prostate cancer. I now have to make my mind up the best course of treatment. I have the choice of a prostatectomy or radiotherapy. Not sure what route to take. Has any one got any advice how they got on. I know I have to make the decision but any help of thoughts would be grateful.
Hello Dj manic
A warm welcome to the Macmillan Online community, although I am so sorry to find you here. I am Brian one of the Community Champions here at Macmillan and I hang out on the Prostate Community as I am in the 4th year of my personal prostate cancer journey.
The Community is divided up into cancer specific groups or forums so please come along and join us on the Prostate Cancer Group - here's a link:
Just click on the link and when the page opens up, click on "join" on the black banner at the bottom of the page. Once you have joined us - just copy and paste or repost your post above in the "New Here - Say Hello" section and you will have plenty of replies - in fact I have answered the very same question from another new Community Member earlier today.
I look forward to "meeting" you again in "Our" little corner of the community.
Best wishes - Brian.
