Hi, I'm new to forum just wondered if anyone going through same hospital found lung nodule that has grown from 3 mm to 15 mm in months have had pet scan etc and still not sure if cancerous biopsy can't be done because of where nodule is have 2 options, 1 leave as is and take risk it isn't cancerous and could spread or have major surgery to remove a third of my lung then they can do biopsy to see if cancerous this is such a stressful time as I don't have family to talk to friends just say you'll be fine when I try to talk about it I'll be honest it's scaring the life out of me as there can be complications with surgery I've waited nearly a month to find out result and still no further forward this is such a scary time I've found myself so depressed thinking about it.
Hi Jeff_B welcome to the community, but sorry to hear you have this lung nodule that seems to have grown. The community is set up into different groups, and I am the community champ for the Lung cancer forum . Can I suggest that you come and join us in the lung group, where I know there are people there that can talk you through the surgery option.
This is a very scary situation for you, and I am not surprised you are feeling depressed about things. I do hope you come over to the lung group, and we can can help to alleviate some of those fears for you.
