Before Xmas, Ca19.9 was raised. Also inflammation was through the ceiling.
I had a ct last week. They said to start with-they were looking for pancreatic cancer-but then scanned, chest, abdomen and pelvis.
Less than three working days later-I look at the nhs app to see if my results are back.
There is a msg-There’s a problem with your health.Contact your dr. In red capitals.
I rang my surgery-yes, they have the results. Haven’t been seen by a dr yet. Ring at 8 in the morning to get an appointment to discuss results.

Im trying to remain calm and not catastrophise, but I can’t seem to distract myself.
I can’t read or focus on much.
my mind keeps dragging me back to all the -what ifs?

what do other people do when in this kind of situation?
any advice? svp

  • I've been on here before to reach put to anyone who has been waiting biopsy results as they think lymphoma.  I've been waiting 10 weeks now. It's soo long. I rang consultant receptionist who haven't helped alot at all. Not sure what to do.

  • Hi  and welcome to the Macmillan Community but so sorry to hear about your concerns….. let’s look for you to get an appointment soon so you can get some answers….. in reality there is not much you can do as at this point in time your are a passenger…… you have to trust in the NHS to do its thing.

This New to Community area is like our reception desk where we look to direct you to the best part of the Community for you to get support.

The Community is actually divided into dedicated Cancer Support Groups (Discussion Rooms)……. and should you receive a cancer diagnosis you may want to look through this link Cancer Specific Groups you will find all our dedicated cancer support groups listed.

These groups are safe places to talk to others who may have a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support from members who are navigating the exact same journey.

The Macmillan Support Line is open between 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00…… this service provides cancer information, practical information, emotional support or just a listening ear.

Do get back to me if you need further help but let’s look for answers soon ((hugs))
