Hi I have a lump in my breast that was biopsied on Wednesday I called today to see how you are informed if your results  and I  was told by the secretary that my case is being discussed at MDT tomorrow morning,,does thos happen for negative results or is thos normally if there is a problem thanks. Xx

  • Hi,

It is just to discuss the findings in general. So there will be a few professionals on the call. So basically, discuss the next steps whether benign or cancerous. If it is benign, they may want to still remove.

I got allocated a breast care nurse and she usually books an appointment that I attend to discuss the findings and outcome of MDT.
I have an appointment on Friday after I have hopefully been discussed on Thursday at MDT of the outcome of my recent surgery. So like the next steps.

If I was you, I’d be asking when your appointment is for the results.

    Good luck xx

  • Thank you so much , yes whatever it is I think I that they will have to remove as it has gone bigger since the biopsy as well , fingers crossed all will be ok , thank you for your response I really appreciate it xxx

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I know how nerve wracking waiting for results can be and hopefully you won't have too long to wait as the MDT meeting is happening today.

The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the breast cancer group, which is a great place to ask your question.

To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about how you discovered your lump and the tests you've had to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Fingers crossed.
If it is cancer, there are lots of treatments out there and it doesn’t have to necessarily be the ‘end’.
But they should let you know all of this. They will of already discussed the ‘plan’ at MDT, hopefully.

    Keep us updated.
    Good luck xx

  • I am still waiting xx
