Hi all
Am new to all this techno stuff so trying to find my way around - did an introduction but don’t think I managed to post it.
I’m a 67 yo and was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer in October and had a lumpectomy and sentinel node removal on 28th November. Saw my surgeon on 6th Jan for results. Lump was 2.2cm grade 3 and there were traces of cells in 1 of the 3 lymph nodes. The margins of the lumpectomy weren’t even and she planned to do an inferior something or other shave but on examination there was insufficient breast tissue in the area so I’ve been referred on to the Oncologist (appointment is this coming Tuesday)
I also have a 1.5cm lesion on my right kidney which was discovered before I had the routine mammogram which showed the breast lump. (Breast surgeon doesn’t think there is any connection to the breast cancer) and two haemagomata on my liver which are being monitored 6 monthly mri.
Hi JacqsH and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2022.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the breast cancer group, which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
How are you doing now? I think the same think might be happening to me. CT scan showed my lungs looked like acute pneumonia.
Hi Embers and Warrior thyne and welcome to you both.
I'm sorry to read that you both have a breast cancer diagnosis. Can I suggest that you join the breast cancer group, as it's a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.
