Hi newbie here, almost 69yrs young and just started my journey to diagnosis for urinary issues including blood in my urine.
Hi fella68, and welcome, I read your other post, and wanted to say, I used to pass lumpy blood, looked like chopped liver, for a few weeks. Frank Haematuria, was my diagnosis, sorry I can't remember the meds I took, but was told as long as your able to pee, it will clear up with the meds, and it did, blood in your urine always looks more than there actually is, and is replaced by the body in a short time.
I have prostate cancer, coincidental to my Haematuria, and I'm on the prostate cancer forum, I know you have no cancer diagnosis, and hope you don't get one, but it's a wonderful place to join should you ever need to.
My very best wishes with all your tests, and will have everything crossed for good results for you, and the forum is always there for you should you need it.
Eddie
Good morning fella68
Another warm welcome to the Macmillan Online community, although I am so sorry to find you here. I am Brian on of the Community Champions here - I am also a 69 year old, over 3 years into my own Prostate Cancer journey.
The testing and diagnostic part of any cancer journey is the hardest, and waiting to find your results. Here is a link to some information that may help you - Urological Cancers. It may even turn out it's not cancer at all.
Whilst you are waiting for your results - there's always our support line you can call on 0808 808 00 00 (8am to 8pm 7 days a week).
Please do come back to me and let me know your test results and at that point I will be able to direct you to the help and support available. If I can do anything for you in the meanwhile please don't hesitate to message me. (You can read my cancer journey by clicking on my user name or avatar)
Best wishes - Brian.

Thanks Millibob, going to be doing some reading of forums today. Thanks for the directions to help and support. For now I'm content to read and watch videos of tests and procedures, I like to know what I'm facing. I probably won't ring to speak to anyone unless and until I get a diagnosis. So today being a Sunday its Lasagne for lunch with copious cuppas and reading. Once again thanks and I will be in touch again maybe next Saturday when I'm back from the hospital with a bit more info or diagnosis.
Hello fella68
You are more than welcome. Here's a link to "my flock" on the Prostate group-
Let's hope you aren't going to be joining us anytime soon!! As for researching and videos, personal advice, stick to trusted sources, Macmillan, Prostate Cancer UK, Cancer Research UK. Dr Google has lots of "stuff" that's either just wrong, outdated or impossible.
You are right to carry on with life as normal - I am off after lunch for my Sunday Afternoon pint (not Macmillan advice).
Good luck on Saturday.
Best wishes - Brian.
