Hello Everyone

New to this and I'd rather not be but life throws us curve balls i guess.

My husband had a colonoscopy and endoscopy last week where we was told a cancerous polyp was removed and there is a 3cm cancerous tumour on the opposite side.

Tomorrow is the CT scan and 1st Iron infusion where the following Monday the meeting will be held with regards to all the bits and bobs back and where we are at.

Keep thinking and goggling which I know is a recipe for disaster but just feel so up in arms about it. My only thing to cling to is that 6 months prior a FIT was OK so hoping we are early doors.

Thanks for letting me rant

Much appreciated

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and I know what you mean about not wanting to be here.

The online community is divided into different support groups and I can see that you've already found and joined the bowel cancer group, which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.

When you feel ready, you can start a new post in the bowel cancer group in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about your husband's symptoms and tests to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
