Suspected lung cancer

Hi everyone

I'm new to the group, new to all of this.

I'm due to have a frozen lung biopsy in a few weeks on a nodule that is 15mm and looks suspicious.

I will only find out whether is cancer and whether I've had some of my lung removed when I wake up from the anesthetic.

I'm having this done, miles away from home and am absolutely petrified.

Anyone else been through this?

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and it's perfectly normal to feel scared when you don't know what to expect. Over the years that I've been having treatment I've found that all the medical professionals will do everything they can to put you at your ease and answer any concerns you have.

The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the lung cancer group where you'll connect directly with others who have had the same biopsy as you.

To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

If you need any help finding your way around the community I'll be pleased to help.
