I've been diagnosed with 2 primary cancer's one in the breast and the other in the lung.  I have already been through chemotherapy and am now scheduled for 2 surgery's  with the breast surgery being done first.  I live on my own and don't have any family nearby and I must admit I'm scared about these surgery's and looking after myself afterwards as I'm not that great at doing so now due to my mental health issues.  Do you have any advice?

  • Hello Mooray, and a very warm welcome to the forum,  though I'm so sorry you have to be here and that you have cancer, I too have cancer and mental health issues, but  though my cancer is different to yours, I do have some understanding of how you feel. Well done getting through chemotherapy, I hope it wasn't too hard on you, I can't offer any advice about your surgeries to come, but there are The Lung cancer and The Breast cancer forums, both dedicated  forums with many wonderful people who will have been through, or are going through the same surgeries as you, they will be able to offer advice and support and help you with what help is available after your surgeries, I  wish you every success with your treatment, and for what it's worth, happy Christmas and best wishes
