I’m brand new to the group. I have recently been having tests because I’d notice a change in my bowel habits. Wasn’t overly worried and thought it may be a progression of my IBS to an IBD. But knew it was bad news when I was called back in to see the consultant the day after my CT scan. But was completely blown away to be told that the CT scan was consistent with advanced ovarian cancer affecting both ovaries with a 10cm mass on one and a 5cm mass on the other. Waiting to see a gynaecologist now who I thankfully see on Friday of this week. Worrying time due to suggestions it has spread already. Hoping that I can start treatment quickly.
Oh, wow! So quick now isn’t it! I’m so sorry for your diagnosis. I got mine straight after my but camera. Had an op then chemo, now I’ve had no treatment because I can’t put on weight. I hope you have a much better ending to your story than me. Take care and take all the love from friends & family. Best of luck for the future
Hi Leki2004 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read that you've recently been diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer and I can understand how worried you must be feeling.
The online community is divided into different support groups and I can see that you've already found and joined the ovarian cancer group, which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.
When you feel ready, you can start a new post there in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
