Prostate Cancer and Zoladex

Hello.  My husband was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer in September 2024.   In October he was given a Zoladex Implant and since then he

has severe body aches and also unbearable pains in his legs.  He has trouble walking and is severely out of breath going up the stairs.  He has tried Tyneol and

Advil taking two at a time.   He is also on Bicalutamide.  His Doctor wont give him any pain relief and says to go to our family doctor.  Is there anyone who has

these symptons.  Thank you in advance.

  • Hello

A warm welcome to the Macmillan online Community - although I am very sorry to find you here.

I am Brian - one of the Community Champions you will find on the Community, Our Community is divided up into various cancer specific groups so to connect with others on the same or similar journey I would advise you to join our Prostate Group - and here's the link-

     Prostate cancer forum

Once the page opens up just click on "join", on the black banner at the bottom of the page. You can then either copy and paste or repost your post above in the "New Here - Say Hello" section of the Prostate Group.

I am 3 years into my personal Prostate journey and when I joined the group I found them to be supportive and understanding and I am sure you will too.

I look forward to "meeting" you again in our fantastic group.

You can also ask your question to a Macmillan cancer nurse - again here's the link -

     Ask a Nurse

Although at this time of the year there will be a delay in a reply. There's also our support line for both of you on 0808 808 00 00 (8am to 8pm 7 days a week).

If there's anything else I can do for you please don't hesitate to contact me.

    Best wishes - Brian.
