Waiting for Endometrial biopsy results

Hi

I just joined the forum as I am looking for other peoples experiences.

Im 51  have previously had breast cancer 10 years ago and had all the treatment. Now i find myself in limbo awaiting results from an endometrial biopsy.

Having had some mild vague symptoms I had an abdo and pelvic ultrasound last week . This showed something abnormal in the uterus muscle/lining. Luckily I had already been referred in March to gynae for menopausal symptoms (as i have had breast cancer the gp felt it was better to get advice from gynae for HRT).  and so couple of days after the ultrasound i went to the gynae appointment who looked at the results of the ultrasound. They did a blind biopsy there and  then.

I am waiting for the results.

I have an MRI today of my lumbar region to check out some mild niggling pain that fluctuates.

its all guess work and could be something or nothing. However with my past history i cant help but think the worst!

I'm here as i cant talk about it to friends or family and to see what others experiences have been.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

Waiting for tests and then results is a really horrible time and I can understand you wanting to talk to people outside of your family and friends.

The online community is divided into different support groups and I can see that you've already found and posted in the womb cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.

I'm sure some of the members of that group will be along shortly to talk to you.
