My daughter was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2021 when she was 17. This was at the height of Covid. She had very intensive chemo and a huge operation replacing her hip joint, femur, knee and part of her shin. Although well into remission she has significant mental scars and her ongoing pain mearns is desperate for some help to deal with these issues . Can anyone please recommend a specialist organisation who can help her deal with the mental scars preferably on a 1:1 basis. I’m (almost) a pensioner and have limited funds but would happily pay to get help for her. Thank you.
Hi Ggumpster and a warm welcome to the Macmillan Community but so sorry to hear about your daughter.
Navigating the post treatment journey can be ever so challenging so getting support is very important so can I suggest the following….

Check to see if you have any walk in Local Macmillan Support in your area.
Do also check for a local Maggie's Centre as these folks are amazing and provide 1 on 1 support.
