I have no idea what to say, feel like I have no right to be here except I am so scared to deal with my g.ps letters and calls. They did c word I dare not face, my family history my boys have only I and no one to tell this too
Hi Rosie M and a very warm welcome to the Macmillan Community but sorry to hear about your ongoing concerns and to hear about the challenges your family has had over the years.
Dealing with health issues is difficult especially due to you family history but the reality is……. until any issues are followed through and correctly assessed your stress and anxiety will just get worse…… and result in you getting more ill due to the stress and anxiety.
I have been on my incurable cancer journey for over 25 years with two types of very rare Lymphomas (blood cancer)…… but I have also been checked out for various other suspicious conditions all turned out to be nothing to be concerned about.
You do need to make contact with your GP and get an appointment to talk through your fears and any other issues you are dealing with.
The Macmillan Support Line is open between 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00…… this service provides cancer information, practical information, emotional support or just a listening ear.
We are also always around to chat ((hugs))

Hi Rosie Rosie M there is no need to apologise, if coming into the community has helped unpack some stuff then great.
Although I have had some challenges, I turned 69 in Nov and as a family we celebrated 9 years since my last treatment, I am living a great life and we continue to look forward to what else life has in store first us to enjoy.
