I am well past the menopause at 69 years old and was shocked to have a bleed on 3rd October, went straight to GP, was told fully booked but after explaining the problem they got me in. GP referred me and I had a call 8 days later to go for a hysteroscopy. Hospital doctor rang me the 5 days later with results (early stage cancer). Had another call for MRI on the Saturday and saw the consultant the following week, it looks like stage 1a but after the hysterectomy will be tested to make sure. He booked my surgery while I was there and it is 3rd December. He said I would be in hospital 3 days.
