Womb cancer

Hi I’m Warrior Woman. I was diagnosed with womb cancer in July. A shock a big big shock. It’s A stage 4.                       I really thought I would fall apart. I am having chemo and feel so very lucky that I don’t have pain and only a couple of days not being me. What keeps me smiling is the small wins that I have, ie coffee with a friend, seeing my granddaughters, going for a walk, swearing in a bad day. There’s not too much swearing but something I never used to do. Family and friends are very supportive and I asked for them to treat me as they would normally which definitely helps. I have made a couple of friends from my chemo sessions and oh how my heart smiles when they have wins too. I just want to share my journey with others every now and again and reassure others it’s ok to not feel ok and that there is a smile in all of us even when times are bleak. Am I going to give up not a chance xx

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

That's great to read that you'd like to share your journey and reassure others who have been diagnosed with womb cancer.

The online community is divided into different support groups so if you join the womb cancer group you'll be able to share your experiences as well as give and receive support.

To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Hi latchbrook, thank you so much for the warm welcome and for explaining about the different groups etc. I’m not very good with technology and don’t understand where yhe link is? Can you help please? I have looked on your profile and I think you have have shared your journey well.

  • I think by process of elimination’ I have found the right group to be in. Once again thank you.

  • Hi

Good to see you've found and posted in the womb cancer group.

Just so that you know in future, any wording that appears in a dark green, bold font on the site is a link. In my original reply to you, if you'd clicked on womb cancer group it would have taken you straight there. Sometimes the link can be to more information or to another relevant thread.

    I hope this helps.
