Hi
I was just told last week that I have a malignant colon cancer in my ascending colon (right side).
Picked up through screening. This is the first year that the screening age limit was moved up to 50 years old & I had a FIT positive. I was thinking I had Irritable bowels related to the menopause!! I was wrong
Not much more information was given, other than that it may be genetic (although I have no family history of bowel cancer)…so a lot of unknowns right now. Still waiting to be staged/graded.
I’m scared silly. The wait is excruciating. How did you deal with the anxiety of the wait itself??
just wondering if there is anyone out there who has had colon cancer on the right side, what sort of treatment they had, … I’m new to this site and still functioning in a suspended animation, walking-through-treacle sort of state!!
Hope to gain support through the forum. I don’t want to add extra worry to my hubby & kids

I’m going to keep my fingers and toes crossed for you, in hopes that they have caught your breast cancer early…my thoughts are with you!!
Everyone has told me that the wait is the hardest part! Everyone! It’s so annoying!! There’s a part of me that doesn’t want to know, but equally aware that it is inevitable!
let’s hope that we both receive some positive news soon!
