Fortunately, the tumor is small T2 and localized with no nodal involvement. I will be receiving oral Capecitabine and two infusions of Mitomycin coupled with daily radiation for six weeks. Does anyone on this forum have experience with oral capecitabine? I am trying to anticipate what to expect. I was also curious if anyone has tried cold capping when taking an oral chemo?

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the Macmillan Community but sorry to hear about your diagnosis.

Navigating a cancer journey can be such a stressful and challenging time but getting support from people who have walked or are walking the ‘exact same' journey can help a lot.

I have a completely different cancer and in blood cancers cold capping is not recommended as it reduces the effectiveness of the treatment,

This New to Community area is like our reception desk where we look to try and direct you to the best part of the Community for you to get support.
