Hi everybody i have spent the past two years at my mums side often driving her to london multiple times a week as she was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in her right eye which was removed by surgery and radio therapy, however this has now spread to her liver stage 4 so im trying my best with family work etc but burning out. I went ti gp recently and for a totally different reason (swallen testis) and just me tioned that i was finding it very difficult to swallow and was constantly getting stuck feeling like i was being strangled. Any way after many tests etc i was diagnosed with esophacillit esophogitis after a biopsy, had appointment through to see consultant and they said they have found i have stomach cancer. This was by pure chance that the biopsy has gone lower down my throat. Now i have letter stating its a neuroendocrine tumour and that they are mostly in groups but they have only seen the one by fluke. Anybody able to give any sort of idea if they would be in the same organ or elsewhere? Sorry its a long post
Hi Swill89 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
It sounds like you've had a difficult few years, so there's absolutely no need to apologise for the length of your post.
The online community is divided into different support groups and I can see you've already found and posted in the neuroendocrine cancer group, which is a great place to ask questions and share experiences with others who have a similar diagnosis to you.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment plan into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Hi and thank you for the welcome.
I will get that sorted. Im finding it hard to even think about it and i have multiple MH disorders and to me its not serious and it'l be gone.just doesnt seem to have sunk in.
Sorry
