Hi, I just did a fit test and had an abnormal result back, with a result of 48ug.......has anyone else had these fit tests that have been abnormal and if so what do these numbers mean eg 48ug on minand how likely is it with this score to turn out to be some form of rectal or colon cancer? I have to go for a colonoscopy and am waiting for the phone call for the appointment, I am extremely worrd ,also I'm only 49 and have 2 young sons and a single parent....
Hi D.m f and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
As the online community is divided into different support groups I'm going to recommend that you join the bowel cancer group which is a great place to ask questions and share experiences with others who have also done a FIT Test.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
I can see that you also posted this in the Ask a Nurse section of the online community and, in case you haven't seen the reply, clicking here will take you to it.
