Urgant referral to breast clinic, but won't be seen for 3 weeks...

Hi all!

I've read a lot of previous posts and wanted to join in the community... I'm scared and worried.

Found a lump I'm my left breast just over a week ago. Told myself it was nothing and hoped it would go away. Asked my husband to have a feel and he felt it too. Atleast I hadn't completely lost my mind. Got a gp appointment Monday and was referred straight away under the 2 week rule. The paperwork wasn't sent until Tuesday tho! I finally saw today, Wednesday, that my referral had been received and found the number for the clinic on the NHS app. I called them and asked about current waits and was informed I won't be seen until atleast November. I know it isn't that much longer than the 2 weeks, but she didn't say how soon in November. Could be the 10th for all I know. My friend has told me to call everyday to ask for cancellations, but I'm dreading the next few weeks. I've kept it together until now, but when I found out I wouldn't be seen as urgently as I'd hoped, I broke down. Just before school run too....

Thank you for reading and thank you for letting me vent. This place seems amazing and I appreciate any support or kind words.
