Hi, to start I need to point out I have really bad anxiety/panic attacks to the point where I don't leave my house much an have been like this for years. I have a firm moveable lump near my armpit I have had it for years and it hasn't changed but ever so often I go through stages of being totally obsessed by it. I can't get to my doctor because of the panic attacks when I go out and can't get to any breast screening services. I know ppl will say, you will have to go to doctors but I am looking to see if anyone can offer any advice or reassurance. It's about 1cm in size, hasn't gotten any bigger since I first found it and I think it's been there for 2 plus years it's firm but not rock hard
Hi Anne176
I'd love to say it's nothing to worry about but none of us here are medical professionals so we can't give you that reassurance I'm afraid.
Maybe an idea would be to give the Macmillan Support Line a call on 0808 808 0000 and have a chat with one of the lovely nurses. It's free to call and they're available every day between 8am and 8pm. While they won't be able to give you a diagnosis, they may be able to suggest ways that you could seek help from your GP that doesn't involve you leaving the house.
All the best
