Hi everybody, I hope your weekend is going well. Quick question: after cancer cells beumibg found in my colon, I'm due to have my large bowel removed completely. Next week. I'm finding the advice and information given by others here with similar experiences very useful, but an app would make accessibg it much easier. Does anyone know if an app for MacMillan online forums exists?
Hi Mat C I am rather sure that there is no app specifically covering the Macmiilan Community……
This Community is massive so I am not that sure if it would be possible….. but you can drop the Macmillan Staff Team an email at community@macmillan.org.uk and ask your question.
Thanks for your reply Mike. It would seem possible to create an app to incorporate a large number of users, however I am by no means an IT specialist, so could be very wrong. I think there are MacMillan education apps, but they do a different thing. I'll contact the staff team, and even if an app doesn't exist as yet, perhaps it could be a suggestion they'd take on board! Thank you once again, I hope you're keeping well.
Yes there are a few education, information and volunteering apps.
The last I heard there were something like 90000 members spread across 70+ cancer specific and 30+ cancer experience discussion groups….. as well as our various Ask an Expert areas…….
It will be interesting to see what the team say.
