Awaiting cervical biopsy results

Its been 5 weeks since I was told by my gp that she suspected cervical cancer. This wasn't discovered through screening,  I noticed a heaviness and self checked to discover lumps on my cervix.  Dr told me it was ulcerated and abnormal and I was given a two week referral for the colposcopy.  Upon examination the colposcopist said she had a strong suspicion of cervical cancer, possibly adenocarcinoma.  She placed her hand on my knee and said she was very sorry. Which to me obviously indicates it does not look good, and I am worried it may not be early stages.

I am a 38 year old mum of 5. My youngest is 16 months old .

I had a c section and sterilization with my youngest , so I am not concerned about needing a hysterectomy,  I am however concerned about recovery,  with my husband working full time and a baby to take care of.

I think I have come to just to offload , and to find some hope , because at the moment all I feel is darkness, depression and severe anxiety.

My results are on two days on the 12th September
