In March 2022 I found out I had breast cancer. I got off quite lightly compared to a lot of people with a lumpectomy and most lymph glands on said side and 5 sessions of Radiotherapy therapy.
9 Days ago I found a mole. I went for photos last week and in 3 days I see the skin cancer specialist. Its not on the effected side but wondered whether there was a possible link between the two?
Thanks all.
Devon
Hi Devon and sorry to hear about your skin cancer diagnosis.
I had 45 sessions of radiotherapy as part of my many treatments over the past 25 years wit’s a rare type of Lymphoma and I was told that I would be very high up the ‘at risk’ list for developing skin cancer…… but 9 years on from my last treatment and nothing has shown its face…… the luck of the draw I suppose.
As you know the Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) so can I recommend that you join and put up your own post in our dedicated…..
…… support group as this would be a safe place to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.
((Hugs))
