Hi JJS and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read that your sister has recently been diagnosed with lymphoma and it must be a very difficult time for you.
The online community is divided into different support forums so I'm going to recommend that you join the family and friends forum which is a great place to get support from others who have a loved one dealing with cancer.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
If you have any problems negotiating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
Hi JJS and a very warm welcome to the Macmillan Community but sorry to hear about your sisters diagnosis……. This is such a hard time for you all.
am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups.
Her type of Lymphoma is most likely a type of Post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder…… or PTLD for short.
This New to Community area is like our reception desk where we try to direct you to the best part of the Community for you to get support. The Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) so can I recommend you join and post in our……
……. support group. This group is a safe places to talk to others who may have a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support from family members who are navigating the same support journey.
To connect with a group click on the “Bold Italic Links” I have created above …… then once the group page opens click in the [ Black - Click to Join - Banner ] that appears at the bottom of the page and this will then confirm that you have joined the group.
When you are ready……. you can introduce yourself by putting up your very own post by clicking [ + Create new post] or [ + ] in the top right of the group page.
You can copy and paste the text from this post into your new post.
I will keep an eye open for you in the Lymphoma group.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
