Hi
I was referred on the 2week pathway. Within this time I have a a pelvic scan, a hysteroscopy. I have looked online and it's very misleading on biopsy results. Some say 1 to 2 weeks, or even 2 to 4 weeks. It's been 1.5 weeks since my biopsy
I'm curios will my biopsy results show on the nhs app before I get a follow up appointment with my consultant?
Thankyou
Hi PAMP I am sorry to hear that you are waiting for biopsy results.
Results will often take different times depending on what type of cancer is being looked at and what tests needs to be done.
I personally (Lymphoma) have had results within 10 days but other times specialist tests had to be done so the samples were sent to other labs with results taking 6-8 weeks…… I have no idea about the NHS app as we don’t have this facility.
This New to Community area is like our reception desk……. but as you know the Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) and I do see that you have already been active in our dedicated….
…… support group. This is the best place to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.
You may find it helpful to call the Macmillan Support Line open 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00. This service provides cancer information, practical information, emotional support or just a listening ear.
I do hope you get word soon ((hugs))
