I was diagnosed with high grade 3A Ovarian cancer and recently had the surgery to remove all the affected organs. I am recovering well from the surgery and luckily there’s no complications. However, I had my first chemo a week ago and really finding it hard to cope with. Any suggestions on how to manage these horrible side effects and does it eventually gets better?

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that you're struggling after your first chemo session and I hope that you've spoken to the chemo hotline number you'll have been given.
I can see that you've joined and posted in the ovarian cancer forum any one there who has struggled with side effects will be along soon to share their experiences with you.

It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
