Hi everyone

I have recently been diagnosed with ALL (within last couple of weeks). I don't think I have even begun to process it myself as I have a family with a husband and teenage boys and been trying to sort stuff out and make sure they are all OK. I am wondering when it actually hits that you are fighting this as so far I have been taking it day by day as everything has been happening so fast.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the Community but sorry to hear about your ALL diagnoses.

Navigating the cancer journey can be such a stressful and challenging time but getting support from people who have walked the ‘exact same' cancer journey can help a lot. I have lived with been treated for another type of blood cancer (NHL) fir over 25 years so understand the journey you are on

This New to Community area is like our reception desk where we look to try and direct you to the best part of the Community for you to get support. The Community is actually divided into dedicated Cancer Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) .….. but I do see that you have already joined our dedicated ALL support group. This will be a safe place to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.

To connect in with the group please click on the link belowPoint down

    Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia

…… then once the group page opens you can introduce yourself by putting up your very own post by clicking [+ Create new post] or [ + ] in the top right of the group page.

You can copy and paste the text from this post into your new post.

Do get back to me if you need further help navigating the community.

  • Thankyou I will do, I have just read your story and omg if you can get through everything you have been through then I should hopefully get through this. Reading your story has been an inspiration to me and I hope your health just gets better and better

  • Hi again  we all do what we need to do to get through this........

Please keep in mind that in reading through my story you have to remember that my type of NHL is 8 in a Million rare....... so this brought some significant challenges.

I help our across our blood cancer groups so we will most likely talk again.
