My mum has had primary breast cancer and we believed she was cured. However 3 years ago she was found to have secondary cancer on her liver
Having had various types of chemo the medics have only one option left of an intravenous chemo. If that fails there is notng else they can do
I'm looking to understand what the prognosis is with this if anyone has any experience of this. Thank you

I'm sorry to read about your mum's secondary breast cancer diagnosis and I can understand you wanting to learn more about her prognosis. As everyone's cancer reacts differently the best people to speak to, with your mum's permission, would be either her cancer nurse specialist or consultant. Based on what they know about your mum's cancer and general health they should be able to answer your question.
The online community is divided into different support forums so I'm going to recommend that you join the secondary breast cancer forum which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others with a similar diagnosis to your mum.

It would be great if you could put something about your mum's diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. A cancer diagnosis like this in the family can be such a challenging and stressful time but getting support from others who are dealing with the ‘exact same' cancer type or support challenges will help you a lot……. I have a completely different type of cancer and treatment journey.
The New to Community is like our reception desk where we try to direct you to the best part of the Community for you to get support. The Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) so can I recommend you join and post in our dedicated……
…… support group. This group is a safe places to talk to others who may have a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support from family members who are navigating the same support journey.
