  • Hello Kian28 and a warm welcome to the forum, so sorry to hear of your diagnosis, but it's good that treatment is happening quickly. Kian if you try the chemotherapy forum, and the brain cancer forum you should find lots of advice and support. go to top of this page and click on cancer forums. click on cancer experience forums to find chemotherapy forum. and click on cancer types for brain cancer. just click on the ones you want and in the top right hand corner you will see a black box with +new, click on this and you will get three options, click start a discussion and ask your questions, i hope your treatment goes well, take care, Eddie

  • Hi  and a second welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

Struggling with anxiety is something that lots of people with cancer have to find ways of dealing with. You might find this information from Macmillan on managing anxiety helpful.

Macmillan have teamed up with Bupa to offer up to 6 free counselling sessions for people struggling emotionally with their cancer diagnosis. Clicking on the link I've provided will take you to more information about this.

The online community is divided into different support forums so I'm going to recommend that you join the brain cancer forum as you'll then connect directly with others who have this cancer so that you can ask questions, share experiences and get support.

To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and proposed treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
