Given 6 months to live last April 2023, did profoundly well hence still alive.

Going to try xelox next jan 2024 plus my oncologist wants me to self finance another chemo called Avistin.

Looks like it could be anything from late hundreds ti thousands pound. Not much chance.

Anybody else in same boat.

Earlier in year i managed lots of hill walking etc, strangely hit a wall where struggling shortish walks now.

All a bit surreal

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll both find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

That's great to read how well you've done since being given an incurable diagnosis.

As the online community is divided into different support forums, I'm going to recommend that you join the bowel cancer and secondary liver cancer forums where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support from people with a similar diagnosis.

To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any problems negotiating the community just reply to me and I'll be pleased to help if I can.
