Just diagnosed with breast cancer still in shock…. But just saying hello to everyone

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll both find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that you've recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and it's natural to feel as you do at the moment.

The online community is divided into different support forums so I'm going to recommend that you join the breast cancer forum where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support.

To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and proposed treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any problems negotiating the community just reply to me and I'll be pleased to help if I can.

  • Thank you so so much…. New to all of this… but will add when I I know what will be happening… sending you best wishes

  • Hi Tina, I’m part of the breast cancer forum but just found your post as I explored others forums. I am so sorry you have received a breast cancer diagnosis. I received my breast cancer diagnosis in January and like others in the group we understand the shock, disbelief's and anxiety of receiving this news. Many of us have found the first few week the most difficult as you wait for biopsy and scan results before receiving a treatment plan. As you will discover all our cancers are different and our treatments vary but there is always someone in the community who has had a similar experience and can provide you with information. Sending my best wishes as you commence this journey.
