Hi
Im new here have tests at hospital this coming Friday.
im due to go overseas a few days after tests.if the consultant says I can go I’m concerned about the changes to insurance and being covered.
I currently am insured via my bank, it’s a sort of package ..
Any help appreciated
Hi Lilibeth sorry to hear about the journey you are on.
When it comes to Travel Insurance full disclosure is always advisable as in the event of you developing any issues when you are away this can reduce the risk of an insurance company wriggling out from paying out on any claim…… and this unfortunately over rides a consultant saying it’s ok to go……
Travel Insurance Companies will Risk Assess each policy with regards to cancer type, treatment, prognosis and this will then result in a risk factor put on your application and the resulting cost….. or even being able to get cover.
All you can do is call your Insurance Company and talk it through.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
