Much as my bio says I've gone from 10 days ago finding out I had cancer and that it has already spread with unknown primary, they now think bowel but it hasn't been confirmed 24 hours ago I was told my liver has failed and so there are no treatments and I have at best a few weeks. I have no where to go, no answers it was decided not to do a biopsy due to clotting issues so I have no details on the disease itself. I have only spent about 15/20 mins in total with an oncologist and have now been passed to palliative care and feel so so very lost and sad.

  • Hi again but I am so sorry to hear how things have developed. These are very difficult times for you and it is a sad and scary time.

You may want to join and post in our dedicated Living with incurable cancer - incurable patients only support group where you can talk with others who are navigating the exact same journey (Please join the group but for everyones safety this will then have to be approved by the Macmillan Community Team so will not happen immediately)

Do remember that the Macmillan Support Line is open 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00. This service provides, practical information, emotional support, benefits/financial guidance or just a listening ear.

Talking to people face to face can be very helpful so do check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area, do also check for a local Maggie's Centre as these folks are amazing and give support to all the family.

    Supportive ((hugs))
