Good Evening
I have just joined this group.
I am currently on my second lot of chemo for lesions on my liver.
I had an operation for breast cancer in Feb 2018, followed later that year by quite a big operation for bowel cancer, which was followed by chemo. Thanks to all the monitoring, this lot has been picked up at a relatively early stage, although the first lot of chemo did not do it's job, hence the second attempt.
Amidst all this, I lost my wonderful husband to oesophageal cancer, so quite frankly I am totally fed up with this disease.
SuesM
I'm new here but just want to say I feel your pain and my heart goes out to you. I hope things get better for you. I really do.
Hi SuesM and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm really sorry to read that you have recently lost your husband to cancer and that you are now dealing with a cancer diagnosis yourself. It must be a very difficult time for you right now.
The online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the liver cancer group where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support. I've assumed from your post that this is another primary cancer but, if it's a secondary to either the breast or bowel cancer, then the secondary liver cancer group would be the one to join.
To join the appropriate group, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
There is also a bereaved spouses and partners group where you can give and receive support if you feel you'd like to join.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Thank you. They think it is secondary but are not a 100% sure
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
