Hello, I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.
I’ve had surgery and waiting for more results in 3 weeks and expecting chemotherapy.
I’ve no idea what to expect. Just taking one step at a time and hoping for the best.
Hi Birdy23 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read that you've recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and I'm sure you'll feel better when you know what the next step is.
The online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join and post in the breast cancer group where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support.
To join just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and for me, the next stage after my lumpectomy, was chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy. Now a year on I've finished treatment and enjoying life again
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
