Morning lovely people!
im sat here waiting for my lift to the hospital for my lumpectomy and feeling nervous lol.
I hate the unknown even though I know a lot of what’s happening, it’s hard on my kids not knowing 100% if I will be home this evening (as it’s booked as day surgery but you never do know). I worry for my kids more than me
anyways I suppose I just wanted to hear your best tips for the waiting around in the hospital all on your Tod
thankyou
rachel
Hi Rachel Webb21 wishing you all the very best for your operation and that you have a straightforward day and that you will be home today.
I see that you have been a member of the community for a little while. The New to Community section is like the Community Reception Desk where folks can come and get some guidance as to the best area(s) in the community to get support.
I see that you have already joined and been posting in our supportive Breast cancer support group.
Could I suggest that you copy and paste this post into the Breast cancer group as this will open up your post to a wider group of people who have walked the exact same treatment path that you are navigating.
This us a nervous day so do remember that the Macmillan Support Line is open 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00. This service provides cancer information, practical information, emotional support or just a listing ear.
I am sure that you will find folks to chat with…. I did, and I have always found that the staff are on hand to help out or to answer questions.
((hugs))

I know this feeling ever so well
At any time you are looking to post in the groups ‘you’ are in just click on ‘your’ community name, or the little picture/icon beside your name and that takes you to ‘your’ area of the site where you can find the groups ‘you’ have joined and the old posts you have put up or have commented on ((hugs))
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
