So, I found a lump last week. Went to gp. Got referred for ultrasound and ct scan. Worrying about the results. And also anxious about possibly having testicular cancer.

how long does it usually take for ct scan results to come back?

  • Hi   and a warm welcome to the Macmillan Community but I am so sorry to hear about your ongoing concerns.

I have had multiple CTs over the years and results were returned normally within 8 to 10 days……but have had them much quicker at times.

The cancer diagnosis journey can be such a stressful and challenging time but getting support from others who are dealing with the ‘exact same' cancer type can help a lot.

The Community is actually divided into dedicated Cancer Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) so can I recommend you consider joining and posting in our dedicated Testicular cancer support group. This group is a safe place to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.

To connect with a group click on this link Testicular cancer then once the group page opens click on “Click to Join” when the black banner appears or “Join” under “Group Tools” (this all depends on the device you are using)

When you are ready you can introduce yourself by clicking “+new” or “+” in the top right next to the group title. You can copy and paste the text from this post into your new post.

It’s a challenging time for you so you may want to use the Macmillan Support Line is open 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00. This service provides cancer information, practical information, emotional support or just a listening ear.

Do get back to me if you need further help navigating the community.
