Hi all, I am new to this, I went to see the gynae clinic yesterday following a cancer referral from a&e, he done an internal ultrasound and ruled out ovarian cancer, however when he went to do the speculum test, he had to remove it as it was too painful. He said he is sending me for an mri to check what's going on as I'm clearly inflamed inside to cause the pain, I have light bleeding, but the main issue is nausea, weeing frequently and pelvic pressure/pain, the lower part of my stomach is blown out and feels very tight. I feel tired a lot and just unwell, wanted to see if anyone has had similar symptoms or if it could be something less serious and also if the doctor does an mri if they have suspicions or if it's routine. I have had blood test done just awaiting results and appointment for mri, hopefully it doesn't take too long to come through as I am so worried that something is wrong! I have had painful sex on and off over the last year but thought nothing of it and I have also unintentionally lost about a stone in the last 9 months.
thankyou x
Hi Cookiemonster97 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read that you are having to have tests, etc for the symptoms you're experiencing and I know what a worrying time this will be for you.
As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I'm going to recommend that join and post in the cervical cancer group , which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here, and join in with existing conversations by clicking on reply.
It would be great if you could pop something about your tests so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
