Hi I have been under surveillance every three months for a year and a half, the original cancer was in my forearm and is now in my lungs,

the growth rate is very slow. I don’t know if chemotherapy is going to help anyone with experience of this. My oncologist said the cancer I have is very rare just wondered if there is any one had similar diagnosis

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that you've been diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma and it's natural to want to connect with others who have the same type of sarcoma.

As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I'm going to suggest that you join the soft tissue sarcoma group, which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others with this type of cancer. I've had a look in the group and there are quite a few posts which mention this type of sarcoma.

To join, just click on the link I've created which will take you to the group. You can then join and start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and tests so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
